
Marsia Geldert-Murphey

Marsia Geldert-Murphey started her journey as a civil engineering undergraduate at South Dakota State University. She later earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Missouri S&T and went on to found two companies. She co-founded the 100% women-owned Kaskaskia Engineering Group and was the founding president and CEO of Sequoia Engineering and Environmental. Geldert-Murphey has testified before Congress on infrastructure investment and has been chosen president-elect of over 150,000 members in 177 countries of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the 2023–2024 term, after a month-long election that closed June 1. She will be inducted as president-elect at the Annual Business Meeting this fall during the ASCE 2022 Convention.
Marsia currently serves as the Regional Director for Lochmueller Group, where she directs and coordinates the business activities with the leaders in each of their offices in the states of Missouri and Illinois. She has been recognized among St. Louis Business Journal’s most influential businesswomen and was honored with the ASCE Edmund Friedman Professional Recognition Award in 2016. Marsia has been an avid writer and speaker throughout her career.
